Milonga – Tango in Belgium

You might have already noticed it, but www.milonga.be has arisen from the dead. I used the site a lot back when Alain ran it, and was sorry to see it disappear. A couple of months ago I saw it was possible to purchase the domain name, and so I did. My goal is to make it into a comprehensive and easy-to-use website for tango dancers in Belgium.

So what can you find on this site:

Tango courses in Belgium

I’ve tried to list the places where you can follow tango lessons. I’ve split them up according to region, level and day of the week.
The list of teachers and courses is far from complete, all feedback is welcome.

Ce site offre une liste des endroits ou vous pouvez suivre des cours de tango. Cette liste est loin d’être complet, toute addition est le bienvenu.

Belgian tango agenda

The second big part of the site the tango agenda: an overview of milongas, salons, workshops and shows. It is available as an event list or a calendar. The agenda is actually stored within Google Agenda and any organiser of tango events can participate in keeping the agenda up-to-date. The agenda can also be embedded in your own site (both as event list or as calendar).

Een belangrijk onderdeel van de site is de tango agenda, waar alle milongas, salons, workshops en andere tango evenementen in staan. De kalender kan geraadpleegd worden als een lijst van evenementen of als een echte kalender.
Tous les évenements de tango (milonga, salon, workshop, show) sont repris sur l’agenda de tango en Belgique, soit comme liste d’évenements or comme calendrier.

Tango locations map

there is also quite some information on tango teachers and tango locations. These locations are also collected on a Google map: Map of Belgian venues (now off-line).

Tango pictures

I was already taking tango pictures regularly, and I’ve included some of those shots in different locations: milonga.be tango pictures. Photographers who want to show off their tango pictures can contact me.
