Tangocamp Düsseldorf – 2008

Kattendijk Tango has started their weekly open-air milonga next to the water again. Although it can be a bit windy, you don’t notice that when you’re dancing, and the view is spectacular. This summer, every Tuesday evening, check it out!

In Lille they also have an open-air milonga, only; the top is open and not the sides. When it gets rainy, this makes for a wet experience. But that doesn’t stop the locals and quite a crowd of Belgian dancers to come to the Vieille Bourse (organised by Sous Les Marronniers), since it is quite a nice place to dance.
We held our fingers crossed for most of the week and it paid off: there was only a little rain at the first Milonga @ Kiosque this Saturday in the Brussels park. The dancers, on the other hand, were numerous. The first one dropped in just after 5PM and the milonga only stopped because we had to at 11PM. James played great songs, one of which on a 78RPM record player (vinyl, you know), and Dirk played his role as ‘maître d’ effortlessly. It was a good start of the series!
