Announcing the last Milonga @ Kiosque of 2009: theme & bubbles!

Last milonga @ Kiosque
This Saturday 5 Sept will be this season’s last edition of Milonga @ Kiosque and we want to make it a special one! We would like to take the whole ‘Buenos Aires’ style one step further and would like you to dress in white, (light) blue and a touch of yellow/gold, in honour of the country that brought us the tango.
Also, we will be giving free cava (liquid bubbles) to everyone who arrives between 5PM and 6PM! Afterwards there will of course be glasses of cava available at a very democratic price! So please come and celebrate with us the end of a wonderful summer!

It had been months, what with the summer activities of Marisa & Oliver, but finally there was another Tangueria milonga! I didn’t take a lot of pictures, but with the few that were worth showing, I experimented a bit. Not just extreme contrast but also extreme coloured contrast. Feel free to give feedback!

Patio de Tango, Bouche à Oreille
This month of August is one of the hottest in ages, and nowhere this could be witnessed better than in the Patio de Tango last Thursday. The heat also had an effect on my lens, because most of the images seemed half molten, which is why in a lot of cases I used extreme contrast to make them bearable.

Milonga Criolla at Moskow Tango Festival

At the recent Moscow Tango Festival, there were two demos on “Milonga Criolla”, the familiar milonga by Francisco Canaro (with Roberto Maida).

Due to some unannounced activity by the ‘Feeërieën‘ people, we could only start the milonga at 18h, and in a settings of black: black roof, black curtains on the side. It made the taking of pictures a lot more difficult. Still, the sun was there, the drinks were cool and we had lots of spectators because there was a lot of activity in the park.
