Alejandro Ziegler Quartet @ Patio

The Patio is getting a good reputation for live tango concerts. Last week’s performance of the Alejandro Ziegler Quartet was a good example of why that is. With piano, double bass, violin and bandoneon, they played immaculate versions of famous tango songs. Not only that, once the first two numbers were over and the audience had been watching and listening, they also started dancing and didn’t stop until the end. Last Sunday the lights in the Pianofabriek inspired me to experiment a bit with light and shadows. The results were interesting, and call for more elaboration. (As if I need an excuse to take pictures…)

Alejandro Ziegler tango quartet

Patio de Tango (Bouche-à-Oreille, Etterbeek) welcomes another special guest: the Alexandro Ziegler quartet plays a concert at the popular milonga on Thursday February 17th: “a bandoneón, a double bass, a violin, (a) piano, a samurai hairstyle, two red shoes and one Borat moustache” says one fan who saw them in 2010 and she adds: “absolutely stunning“.
