The La Cadena magazine is published monthly and writes about all aspects of tango: the teachers, the music, the experience. Jan Dirk and Ina have been using my pictures for over two years now, and every now and then I make the cover page. Bruno & Mariangeles came to give a demo at the Tangueria. They’re a nice dance couple to see (check the video below) and their three dances were much appreciated. It was also nice for me to be back in the Tangueria, it had been a while.
This was the 6th edition of the Brussels Tango Festival and every year it seems to get better. The organisation of the festival was impeccable, the maestros were impressive, the venues were excellent, the DJs rocked and the dancing was finger-lickin’ good. Also, I’m quite happy with the pictures I took. I was privileged to capture quite a lot of beauty on pixel. I was not alone either: Arndt, Lucien, Ishka, Lilia, Wicky and others also took great pictures.

The Brussels Tango Festival 2010 has now officially started! Yesterday the charming venue named the “Maison des Cultures et de la Cohésion Sociale de Molenbeek-Saint-Jean” welcomes the festival guests for the first evening of dancing and mingling.
As always, it was a mix of familiar and new faces, people getting acquainted with new partners, chatting in a multitude of languages, trying to remember names and nationalities.
This is also the evening where we see the maestros of the festival dancing together. Here they are:
