Over their more than 25 years in a tango career, Marisa & Oliver have participated in many tango holidays in Italy, France, Austria, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium…

And since 2007 they have been organising every year their own tango holidays in the Lake Maggiore area (where Marisa grew up).  In the meantime, these “Lago Maggiore tango holidays” have  become famous all over the world, proposing a variety of open-minded and high quality teachers, and attracting participants from over 20 countries.

Our tango vacations on Lake Maggiore offer a range of activities for all levels. Beginners can delve into the basics of tango, while more experienced dancers can refine their technique and learn more advanced figures and steps. After a day of dancing and exploring the area, you can enjoy a delicious Italian meal while feasting your eyes on the beautiful view of the lake. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, our tango vacation at Lake Maggiore is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience.

After 22 editions in 4 different hotels in the area, in the summer of 2026 (from 26/7 till 9/8), our groups will be hosted one of the ultra-stylish 4* hotels of the Zacchera group in the area, which owns 4 totally renovated authentic art-nouveau establishments.

Venue
At the foot of the Italian Alps, the Lake Maggiore is a paradise for a dream vacation. Its surface of 212 km² offers enchanting and romantic landscapes to discover without delay.

One of the pearls of the lake is the characteristic small town of Baveno (Vb, Piedmont), which is famous for its precious pink granite used in several buildings around the world: the Arc de la Paix and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele of Milan, the columns from the Paris Opera House, Saint Charles Church in Vienna, Christopher Columbus Monument in New York and Bangkok’s Royal Palace… Baveno is next to the lake’s most popular and picturesque town, Stresa, with its prestigious villas, its botanical gardens and of course the famous Borromean islands.

The city of Milan (fashion capital) is located 80 km south, Brussels 870 km north. The area is easily accessible by car, train and plane. The nearest airport is Milano Malpensa (45 km).

Accommodation
Our tango dancer groups will be accommodated in one of the very luxurious 4★ Zacchera Hotels in Baveno. These hotels enjoy a privileged location on the shores of Lake Maggiore, overlooking the magnificent Borromean Gulf.

 

Each hotel offers beautiful rooms, relaxing areas, bars, restaurants, and spacious dance halls for classes and milongas. In the rooms, as well as in all common areas and dance halls, there is powerful air conditioning. The highly professional staff, elegance, comfort, and facilities will make our stay an unforgettable pleasure. The hotel is very luxurious and maintained to impeccable standards.

The hotel is surrounded by a large garden rich in flowers and exotic trees and offers a private swimming pool with sun loungers, parasols, and towels. Private parking is available at a reasonable price. The beach, with direct access to the lake, is just a few steps away.

All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom or shower room, air conditioning, satellite TV, and Wi-Fi. Half of the rooms offer a beautiful view of the lake or the pool. Within a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, you can reach the village center with its harbor, restaurants, bars, shops, and more.

NB. The tourist tax of +/- 2€ pp per day is not included in the above prices.
Deposit of 385€ pp to be paid within 2 weeks after booking to the organisation. The remaining will have to be paid by bank transfer to the Hotel a few weeks before arrival.

EARLY BOOKING DISCOUNT: -50€ per couple for reservation and payment deposit before February 15th
Cancellation fees:
If the holiday had to be cancelled by the organisation or the hotel because of force majeure: your deposit will be reimbursed, except for a small non-reimbursable administration fee of 25€ pp.

In case of cancellation by the participant (for health, family, professional or other reasons):
– from 1 till 15 days after reservation: 25€ pp
– from 15 till 60 days after reservation: 50€ pp
– after May 1st: 50% of the reserved package
– after June 15th: the total amount is due, unless you propose someone else who takes over your package.
We advise you to take a private travel insurance to cover costs, as neither the organisation, nor the hotel can reimburse you if you have to cancel.

Package
Included in the price are

Hotel in half board for 7 nights in a double room with private bathroom (bath/shower) and toilet, hair dryer, air conditioning, TV, telephone, WIFI, mini bar, safe. The participants have free access to the the the dancing rooms, the swimming pool, the garden chairs and several other hotel facilities.
Breakfast (until 10h00) and buffet supper with typical Italian menu in the magnificent dining room reserved for the tango group, Varied buffet (vegetarian and not) with: first course, main course, side dishes, dessert. 1/4 L mineral water per person is included in the price.
The 10 Workshops (tango, vals, milonga) at different levels with professional tango teachers (scroll down for details).
The Milongas every evening and 1 or 2 milongas with exhibitions.
Stand with Tangolera shoes & Rossaspina tango clothes and the possibility to order items upfront.
Not included: private hotel parking (free parking is possible in some nearby streets), trip/shuttle to the hotel (on request), lunches, extras (drinks, snacks…), local tourist tax to pay at the moment of departure.
