Amigas & amigos,
The adventure lasted 16 (SIXTEEN) years, and above all, what I feel is an enormous sense of gratitude.
More than 700 milongas in one of the most beautiful venues in the city. I had dreamed of turning it into a little corner of Buenos Aires, with a weekly, popular milonga, truly porteña, in a magnificent setting — and of making it last… and that’s exactly what happened.
Now it’s time to say goodbye, with no sadness and no regrets.
There are many reasons: some have to do with the state of tango in the region, others are personal. I could go on at length about my thoughts on all this, but that’s not what matters most.
What matters most is inviting you all to bring this adventure to a close together, as it should be: dancing until late into the night, with the luxury of having an orquesta argentina with us.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank some of those who have been so generous with me throughout this long adventure. Some are still here, others were part of it along the way. I’m certainly forgetting many people…
So, THANK YOU to everyone who loved the Patio.
