Lieske De Vuyst and Yannick Vanhove, a Belgian tango teachers couple, have won the European championship of tango salon in Rome. They also made it to a second place for tango escenario. The jury had a number of tango legends amongst its ranks: Maria Nieves, Carlos & Rosa Perez, Pancho Martinez Pey, Fernando Gracia & Sol Cerquides. Another proof that the level of tango in Belgium leaves little to be desired. Lieske & Yannick first came to our attention when they participated in the Mundial de Tango in 2009. They have clearly not stopped evolving and improving their skills. The couple teaches tango classes in Gent, Kortrijk and Moeskroen through their school Tangorrion.
