Tango in Belgie / Tango en Belgique
Op 25 september werd Greet Nelles uit Herent het slachtoffer van een zeer ernstig verkeersongeval. Greet herstelt beetje bij beetje maar de weg is nog lang. Ria en Luc, de ouders van Greet, zijn lid van tangoclub El Balcon. Met dit benefiet bal willen wij onze morele steun betuigen aan Greet en haar familie. De opbrengst van dit tango bal gaat integraal naar Greet en het bloedtransfusiecentrum. Het is aan dit centrum dat Greet in eerste instantie haar leven dankt.
Last Sunday was the premiere of Tango Fricassée, a performance of dance, music, poetry and storytelling. We were there to take some pictures, obviously.
It started with a projection of “Tanghi Argentini“, the belgian short film about tango that made it to an Oscar nomination.
Then the event continued with stories and poems about the origins of tango, told and sung by Goedele Van Ruysevelt, Miguel Torres-Marrero and Carlos Diaz, and a lot of music played by Ambertango and danced by Chantal, Callan and their ToxicTango performers.
