Back by popular demand, the Greenwich milonga reopened last Saturday, 19 April. Una Emocion made its way to the heart of Brussels in the company of Jorge Dispari & Maria “La Turca†and created a gem of an evening again.
The café filled with a nice mix of dancers and on-lookers, and the return of one of Brussels’ favourite DJs coincided with a few traveling tangueros’ arrival. All congratulated James for the flow of tango until deep into the night. Jorge & Maria performed two tangos. A surprise partner switch occurred with a milonga when Isabelle Maron joined Jorge.
To listen and dance to the music, and hold your partner affectionately is a miracle and a sentiment that we see still less – and never long enough to catch the magic. The Saturday milonga at Greenwich made space for the simple pleasures of music, company and closeness. Many thanks to Una Emocion and to those who appreciate it.
