This was the 6th edition of the Brussels Tango Festival and every year it seems to get better. The organisation of the festival was impeccable, the maestros were impressive, the venues were excellent, the DJs rocked and the dancing was finger-lickin’ good. Also, I’m quite happy with the pictures I took. I was privileged to capture quite a lot of beauty on pixel. I was not alone either: Arndt, Lucien, Ishka, Lilia, Wicky and others also took great pictures.
So I’d like to thank:
the organizers, Francois, Nathalie & Andres, for making this a smooth running festival with a very pleasant atmosphere
the maestros, for bringing their skills and their smiles and putting this festival on a high professional level
the inspiration: of all the wonderful impro performances on Sunday, we will certainly remember Pablo & Michelle’s “B-b-b-bad to the bone”.

the ‘chique’ venues, which made us feel like fancy people
the DJs, VJs, sound people, set-up people, clean-up people, gaffer tape people …
Sony Belgium (via PRIDE) for lending me a Sony Alpha 850 with a Zeiss lens to test out. I remember standing on the stage at Vaudeville with my Canon 5DMkII and the Sony around my neck (which is heavy, I can assure you) thinking what a lucky bastard I am.
and most of all, the dancers from all over the world, you.
(Also: thanks to Michelle for allowing me a dance. Like everyone who danced with you, I walked around with a grin for at least an hour.)
Thank you all for making this such a memorable edition!
