Last weekend was the first edition of the Tango Addiction Festival in Mons, Belgium. Nicolas set it up very ambitiously with 3 invited couples and 5 days of workshops, afternoon, evening and after-milongas. Some of those events were hard to fill, since Mons is quite far away from the bigger tango cities, and the festival is too new to attract a lot of dancers from abroad. It also became clear that the summer is over in Belgium: the hot air jet had trouble keeping the tent at a comfortable temperature. Still, it was good to see some maestros back and to see some new ones at work. The pictures came out really nice.
And if it’s cold, tangueros and tangueras know what to do: dance.
