Marcela and Alberto invite you on a journey into the essence of tango, seen through the lens of body awareness.

This workshop is led by Marcela and Alberto, both from Buenos Aires, Argentina. For over 30 years, they have explored the culture of the tango embrace, uniting popular wisdom with deep somatic research. Marcela comes from an academic background in ballet and contemporary dance.
In 1998, she developed her own method to free and sensitize the tango dancer’s body. Her approach highlights the somatic language within dance, allowing each person to discover a more conscious and authentic movement.

Alberto is a tango dancer deeply rooted in the Buenos Aires milonga scene. He received direct transmission from legendary milongueros such as Mingo Pugliese. With more than 30 years of experience, he has not only danced on countless floors but, more importantly, has guided generations of dancers from their very first steps, supporting them with care as they grew into confident social dancers and, in many cases, professionals.

Returning to the body: The first step into tango

How is my body today?
Release unnecessary tensions and activate the inner connections of your own body.
Listening in the embrace: Presence and non-verbal communication
The quality of contact, micro-adjustments, and muscle tone.
Intelligent hips: Balance, center, and living support
The pelvic floor as a source of stability and deep connection in the couple.
Walking Tango: Feet with soul
Awaken the sensitivity of your feet, articulate the ankles, and refine direction, projection, and grounded support.
Moving axes
Head-to-tail connection, dynamic alignment, spontaneous adornments, and musical flow.

Guided práctica: Composing through dance
Deepen the awareness of shared space and compose movement through active listening and musical expression.

The weekend consists of 5 classes of 1.5 hours each, 1 guided practica of 2 hours, , 2 social dance evenings, one evening milonga (on Saturday), 3 dinners and 1 lunch prepared by Tango Cuisine.

The complete package is 220 euros per person.
