A welcoming tango class for beginners and for dancers who wish to review and strengthen the basics of tango rioplatense.

We work on simple, elegant, musical fundamentals, with attention to floorcraft and personal guidance, so you can feel comfortable on the social dance floor.

Un nouveau cycle exceptionnel de Milonga est lancé !

Ludique, rigolote, légère… ce rythme endiablé nous donne souvent du fil à retordre.
Parfois, on reste assis·es toute la tanda de milonga.
Parfois, on ne sait plus faire la différence entre un tango, une milonga et un vals.
Et dès que ça devient rythmique… on n’ose pas se lancer sur la piste.

La bonne nouvelle, c’est qu’après 34 ans à donner cours de tango, je suis devenue experte en « déblocage de la Milonga » 😉
Incroyable : c’est un diplôme tout neuf, qui n’existait pas auparavant, mais dont plusieurs de mes élèves peuvent témoigner 😉

Un moment de communauté où les corps s’expriment et se relient au sol, à la musique, au corps de l’autre et à l’entourage des autres couples. Nous sommes des danseurs et des professeurs argentins. Vous n’avez pas besoin de venir en couple. Nous vous attendons.

Chaque cours coûte 15 euro/pers.

Working on what is working!

There is so much information in Tango and its teachings that it all might seem a little confusing. And information doesn't need to be. It needs to be clear and practical, also in a dance as Argentine Tango.

If top dancers are able to pull it off, it is possible. And you don't need 20 years of your life to realize it. In these classes we'll give you the tools and mechanisms that you need for your personal development as a man (a leader) & a woman (as the follower). We integrate the mechanisms of communication, dissociation and work with energy (impulse and release of impulse in movement and communication)

These classes are also "working". It's training and integrating. If not, what is the point.

“Gricel – A Tango Story” is an innovative musical theater production that tells the true, iconic love story of tango poet José María Contursi, immersing the audience in the bittersweet world of unfulfilled longing, inherent in the culture of Argentine Tango.
This performance is a preview of a forthcoming three-act work, created by Astria Apel, featuring original arrangements and compositions by Sonder Tango (Melody Quinteros and Nicolás Maceratesi), with choreography by Astria Apel and Mariano Galeano.
Argentine Tango and Modern Dance join forces to convey this turbulent story, based on many of the most famous tango lyrics written by José María Contursi.
An international cast of world-class tango dancers, musicians, and singers will come together in Brussels for this performance, joined by the Brussels Tango Performance Group.
The performance will be preceded by a Milonga in the theater’s foyer at 6:00 PM, inviting the audience to dance themselves or just enjoy a drink at the bar. Entrance for Milonga included in all ticket categories.
As the project is still in development, donations are appreciated and will go toward the completion of the full work.

Working on what is working!

There is so much information in Tango and its teachings that it all might seem a little confusing. And information doesn't need to be. It needs to be clear and practical, also in a dance as Argentine Tango.

If top dancers are able to pull it off, it is possible. And you don't need 20 years of your life to realize it. In these classes we'll give you the tools and mechanisms that you need for your personal development as a man (a leader) & a woman (as the follower). We integrate the mechanisms of communication, dissociation and work with energy (impulse and release of impulse in movement and communication)

These classes are also "working". It's training and integrating. If not, what is the point.

An exclusive tango holiday filled with dance and Italian dolce vita.

During their over 25-years of tango career, Marisa & Oliver have participated in many tango holidays in Italy, France, Austria, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium… And since 2007, they have been organising their own tango holidays every year in the Lake Maggiore area (where Marisa grew up).
Meanwhile, these “International Tango Holidays Lago Maggiore” are famous worldwide for their wide range of open-minded and talented teachers, and their appeal to a variety of participants from more than 20 countries. In 2026 we will organize again a tango vacation during the Easter holidays in the sunny, green, beautiful region of Pallanza/Verbania.  We will return to our beloved luxurious and stylish Grand Hotel Majestic, where we spent many unforgettable summer holidays and Spring holidays since 2013.

We are very happy to welcome you there again there in the spring, for the less hot and not too crowded Easter period… While the entire lake coast is in bloom, the surrounding mountains are still covered with fresh white snow. April at the Lago Maggiore is really enchanting, and with a smaller group of participants, we will create an intimate and friendly atmosphere in the Grand Hotel Majestic, where luxury, friendliness and traditional italian cuisine go hand in hand with and panoramic grandeur. From every angle of the hotel you can admire the breathtaking beauty of the Lake Maggiore or the Monte Rosa.

Like the last 2 years, in 2026 we will again be 3 teaching couples. In addition to the 4 classes with main teachers and organisers Marisa & Oliver, the participants can take advantage of the didactics of 2 italian couples: Daniela & Dalmazio and Michela & Manuel, who will each teach 2 classes to each group.

Accommodation
After the successful experiences of the previous years, we will again be staying in the magnificent historic Grand Hotel Majestic**** in Pallanza/Verbania (Piedmont).

Located on the lakeside promenade of the picturesque town of Pallanza, the hotel is surrounded by beautiful, huge flourishing gardens. From its privileged position, you have breathtaking views from almost every angle: the surrounding mountains and the Monte Rosa, the splendid Borromeo Islands in front, and the Lake itself all around.

All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi, a mini bar. About half of the rooms have a stunning lake or mountain view..

The micro climate in this region is mild and sunny in April. The temperatures here are on average around 20° during the day, but there can also be peaks of 25°. The hotel has a small private beach directly on the lake. Although sometimes people already swim in April in the (still fresh) lake water, it is anyway  possible to use the indoor heated swimming pool and sauna. The pool area has beautiful sliding glass doors to the astonishing flower garden. A fitness room with modern infrastructure is also available.

The characteristic city of Pallanza is only 1 km away; fashion capital Milan 90 km to the south, Brussels 870 km. The Majestic is easily accessible by car (free parking in front of the hotel), with the train (Verbania) and by airplane (the closest airport is Milano Malpensa, at 70 km.

During their over 25-years of tango career, Marisa & Oliver have participated in many tango holidays in Italy, France, Austria, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium… And since 2007, they have been organising their own tango holidays every year in the Lake Maggiore area (where Marisa grew up).
Meanwhile, these “International Tango Holidays Lago Maggiore” are famous worldwide for their wide range of open-minded and talented teachers, and their appeal to a variety of participants from more than 20 countries. In addition to our traditional 2 summer weeks the last week of July and the first of August  (more info soon on this website) we propose a Spring edition also in 2025.

In 2026 we will organize again a tango vacation during the Easter holidays in the sunny, green, beautiful region of Pallanza/Verbania.  We will return to our beloved luxurious and stylish Grand Hotel Majestic, where we spent many unforgettable summer holidays and Spring holidays since 2013.

We are very happy to welcome you there again there in the spring, for the less hot and not too crowded Easter period… While the entire lake coast is in bloom, the surrounding mountains are still covered with fresh white snow. April at the Lago Maggiore is really enchanting, and with a smaller group of participants, we will create an intimate and friendly atmosphere in the Grand Hotel Majestic, where luxury, friendliness and traditional italian cuisine go hand in hand with and panoramic grandeur. From every angle of the hotel you can admire the breathtaking beauty of the Lake Maggiore or the Monte Rosa.

Like the last 2 years, in 2026 we will again be 3 teaching couples. In addition to the 4 classes with main teachers and organisers Marisa & Oliver, the participants can take advantage of the didactics of 2 italian couples: Daniela & Dalmazio and Michela & Manuel, who will each teach 2 classes to each group.

Accommodation
After the successful experiences of the previous years, we will again be staying in the magnificent historic Grand Hotel Majestic**** in Pallanza/Verbania (Piedmont).

Located on the lakeside promenade of the picturesque town of Pallanza, the hotel is surrounded by beautiful, huge flourishing gardens. From its privileged position, you have breathtaking views from almost every angle: the surrounding mountains and the Monte Rosa, the splendid Borromeo Islands in front, and the Lake itself all around.

All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi, a mini bar. About half of the rooms have a stunning lake or mountain view..

The micro climate in this region is mild and sunny in April. The temperatures here are on average around 20° during the day, but there can also be peaks of 25°. The hotel has a small private beach directly on the lake. Although sometimes people already swim in April in the (still fresh) lake water, it is anyway  possible to use the indoor heated swimming pool and sauna. The pool area has beautiful sliding glass doors to the astonishing flower garden. A fitness room with modern infrastructure is also available.

The characteristic city of Pallanza is only 1 km away; fashion capital Milan 90 km to the south, Brussels 870 km. The Majestic is easily accessible by car (free parking in front of the hotel), with the train (Verbania) and by airplane (the closest airport is Milano Malpensa, at 70 km.

– as of 1 month after reservation until 10th March: 75€ pp. + non refundable 1st night to the hotel.
– after 10th March: 50% of the reserved package.
– after March 25th: the total amount is due, unless a last minute replacement can still be found.
– we strongly advise to take a personal travel insurance that will reimburse you in case of impossibility to come due to illness, family issues, a positive Covid test, etc.

Cancellation fees in case of cancellation by the organisation:
– if we have to cancel the tango week because of force majeure (Covid, travel restrictions…), you will receive a voucher for a future tango holiday, or you will be be reimbursed except for a non-refundable small administrative fee of 25€ per person to partly cover the upfront organizational work.

Every Wednesday, join us for a relaxed and social tango práctica in daylight.

A moment to meet friends, practice, exchange, and refine your tango on a large, comfortable dance floor.

This is not a class, but an open práctica: dance freely, discuss with your partner, try things out — with the organiser present for gentle guidance, not formal teaching.

We dance to classic tango music, with playlists adapted to the mood.
