The first class of the new initiation series is also a free trial class (as long as there are places left in the group).

Here are the dates of the new initiation series starting in April in La Tangueria.
1) Wednesdays from 8.30 pm to 9.40 pm
> on 19/4, 26/4, 3/5, 10/5, 24/5 + 31/5, 7/6, 14/6, 21/6, 28/6.
> Prices:
a) 115€ per person for 10 x 70 minutes, or
b) 65€ for classes 1 to 5 (+ optionally 65€ for classes 6 to 10 to be decided by 24/5).

2) Sundays from 2.45pm to 4.45pm
> 23/4, 14/5, 28/5, 11/6, 25/6.
> Prices:
a) 120€ per person for 5 x 2h lessons, or
b) 35€ per person per 2h lesson à la carte.
 

In May we will propose 2 other initiation series (if at least 6 couples register):
3) Tuesdays from 7.10 pm to 8.20 pm
> on 2/5, 9/5, 16/5, 30/5, 6/6, 13/6, 20/6, 27/6.
> Prices:
a) 100€ per person for 8 x 70 minutes, or
b) 15€ per person per 70 minutes lesson à la carte.

4) Saturdays from 5 till 7 pm
> on 1/5 (exceptionally a Monday, holiday), 13/5, 27/5, 10/6, 24/6
> Prices:
a) 120€ per person for 5 x 2h lessons, or
b) 35€ per person per 2h lesson à la carte.

Get ready to Tango al mediódia on Wednesday during the month of June.

All you need are your tango shoes and perhaps a dance partner. However, we're currently in need of more ladies or followers to join us on the dance floor! 

This is for a real social practica where you can immerse yourself in the world of tango. There will be no guidance or DJ, but you'll enjoy dancing to classic tango music.

With a slively atmosphere, a perfect dance floor, and the beauty of daylight, it's the ultimate tango experience to excise the moves you want to make better.

Chers amis et chères amies,

Je suis ravie de partager avec vous cette superbe nouvelle !!!! Il y a un peu plus de 30 ans, quand j'ai commencé le Tango, celui-ci avait presque disparu. Il restait les anciens qui à l'époque, étaient dans la soixantaine et un petit groupe de jeunes (Miguel Angel y Milena, Osvaldo y Lorena, Caballo Loco...). Jorge et Aurora étaient à ce moment-là un des jeunes couples incontournables. Je les ai admirés profondément, je les regardais danser ébahie. J'avais la grande chance d'être adoptée par les anciens, et de recevoir les conseils des jeunes.

Dans le Tango "le rang" est très important, nous nous devons respect les uns aux autres par ordre d'arrivée. Cela a l'air arbitraire, mais j'y adhère encore maintenant. Pour moi, cela a tout son sens. J'ai eu l'énorme chance de danser avec Petaca, un ancien, et de côtoyer grâce à lui tous et toutes ceux et celles qui dansaient bien avant moi. C'était une histoire de survie. Le Tango était mourant..., on devait faire les efforts ad hoc, respecter les codes, accepter le temps nécessaire à l'apprentissage et surtout ne pas vouloir aller trop vite ni trop haut :-). Il fallait faire ses preuves. Je brûlais de passion pour cette danse, je rêvais de Tango jour et nuit et pourtant j'ai fait preuve d'une patience dont je ne me reconnais pas. Mon âme savait peut-être que je recevrais un trésor et que le prix à payer était haut. Le Tango est ma vie.

Aujourd'hui, les années ont passé et j'aurai l'énorme chance d'accueillir Jorge et de donner des stages avec lui. Pas seulement, de danser avec lui !!!!!! Je n'en reviens pas, je suis émue jusqu'aux larmes. Jorge n'est pas qu'un danseur et grand maître, il est un "porteur de lumière", un ange-gardien de la tradition et de l'histoire. Il est un studieux et un grand engagé dans la cause du tango populaire et de sa mémoire.

En exclusivité pour les élèves : veuillez lire le paragraphe ci-dessous.
C'est pour cette raison que nos élèves auront droit à sa visite dans les cours réguliers pendant la semaine où il sera là. Il est important pour nous que tous nos élèves aient accès à son savoir sans frais extraordinaires. Ceci dit, un maximum de stages sera programmé pour tous les niveaux et votre participation est très très importante pour nous, elle nous permettra de réaliser ce type d'actions plus souvent.

Special Tango Coaching sessions by Marisa & Oliver
=> The Tango coaching session is an original La Tangueria concept half-way between a private class and a group workshop.
We work with a maximum of 6 couples to be able to give more personal feed-back and corrections to each of them. Although we can propose a movement for each level, the aim is more to "coach" the participants in their personal tango dance. Like in a private class, we will work on the posture, connection, leading, following, musicality, technique, refinement, etc. rather than teaching a new figure. Participants can of course also propose a theme or subject they would like to work.
Level: all levels interested in this coaching session, minimum 6 months tango required.
Prices: Coaching session by Oliver & Marisa:

=> Le Tango coaching est un concept original de La Tangueria, à mi-chemin entre un cours privé et un atelier de groupe.
Nous travaillons avec un maximum de 6 couples pour pouvoir donner plus de feedback personnel et corrections à chacun d'eux. Tina et Sergio mettront essentiellement l’accent sur un guidage respectueux de la partenaire, un guidage clair et précis,
un guidage bienveillant dans le respect de la musique.
L’importance de se laisser guider, d’être actif.ve dans son rôle et de dialoguer en dansant restent les fondamentaux et seront bien sûr exercés pendant les cours.
Les aspects techniques auront une grande importance :
l'étreinte, la connexion, l'ancrage et l'énergie au sol, la musicalité, ... bref, tous les aspects qui nous permettent de danser de manière confortable et ainsi exprimer ce que nous voulons faire de façon naturelle et élégante.

For the first time in Brussels, one of the most recognized professionals, the world champions of tango scenario 2017, Manuela Rossi & Juan Malizia. 

Manuela Rossi & Juan Malizia, great maestros and dancers, our inspiration and our idols. 

For those who don't know them, Manuela and Juan are exceptional tango dancers of salon and stage with a real tanguera essence. The recognition of their mastery by all Argentinean dancers, their international success and their accession to the title of world champions make us extremely honoured to receive them in Brussels. Since then, they have been travelling and teaching all over the world. Many top professional dancers call on them for their technical expertise, or for their unique choreography composition.

Zinnetango is an Argentine tango group that formed in the spring of 2021 in Belgium. The international quartet based in Brussels consists of Argentinian, Belgian and Estonian top musicians. Their common passion for old tango tradition – that reflects the playful and optimistic flare of the “guardia vieja” and the melancholy of the “guardia nueva” – as well as “tango nuevo” is represented by the music of such tango masters as O. Pugliese, A. Gobbi, H. Salgan, A. Piazzolla, D. Schissi and many others. Representing the new Argentinian and European tango generation, the ensemble brings forward their own vision of modern tango through contemporary arrangements and newly composed pieces. Their music draws inspiration from jazz harmonies and Latin-American rhythms. Zinnetango wants to join the audiences by bringing tango to both listeners in concert halls and dancers in tango clubs.

NEW SEASON starts MONDAY 9 of January

The tango intrigues you, you have a passion for it, you would like to try it yourself: why not give it a try? Whether it’s a class or a dance class, if you enjoy a creative and social activity, it’s never too late to get started.
Tango is one of the few dances that is accessible to everyone indiscriminately. Don’t be afraid because every step is imaginable, just let the music and passion guide you. You will be guided by experienced and equally passionate teachers.

We teach simple, elegant, musical and playful ideas to be used on the social dance floor with floorcraft into consideration !

Our classes are appropriate for everyone from beginners to very advanced beginners. We try to give plenty of personal attention !
