Our groups of tango dancers will be hosted in one of the luxurious Zacchera hotels. All hotels are in privileged positions on the shores of Lake Maggiore and the magnificent Gulf of Borromeo. It is very likely that we will be staying again in the Grand Hotel Dino in Baveno.

For advanced dancers who want an extra challenge, we offer a one-off intensive tango escenario workshop on Tuesday 27/8. In July and August 2024, La Tangueria teacher Gaetan (with alternating partners) will give a series of 5×2 workshops for dancers who want to deepen their knowledge in tango, vals, milonga and neotango.
At the end of August, Gaetan and Flavia will also give an intensive workshop Tango escenario for advanced dancers
For (re)beginners and for those who want to take a trial lesson, there will be 3 initiation workshops.

Programme summer 2024
There will be 5 workshops on Wednesdays to dive  deeper into different facets of tango itself, followed by 5 workshops of neotango, vals and milonga, to further develop other dance skills and musicalities as well. To boost your tango, we recommend taking the series, but each class can also be taken separately.
For absolute beginners and those who want to review the basics, 3 discovery workshops are offered on Wednesdays, which can be taken separately or together.
For advanced dancers who want an extra challenge, we offer a one-off intensive tango escenario workshop on Tuesday 27/8. Work will be done on lifts, poses, complex and flashy figures for performances. Advanced dancers from other disciplines (salsa, bachata, contemporary…) can also participate in this workshop.

Programme summer 2024
There will be 5 workshops on Wednesdays to dive  deeper into different facets of tango itself, followed by 5 workshops of neotango, vals and milonga, to further develop other dance skills and musicalities as well. To boost your tango, we recommend taking the series, but each class can also be taken separately.
For absolute beginners and those who want to review the basics, 3 discovery workshops are offered on Wednesdays, which can be taken separately or together.
For advanced dancers who want an extra challenge, we offer a one-off intensive tango escenario workshop on Tuesday 27/8. Work will be done on lifts, poses, complex and flashy figures for performances. Advanced dancers from other disciplines (salsa, bachata, contemporary…) can also participate in this workshop.

Venez découvrir, explorer et approfondir le tango. Vous apprendrez progressivement les mouvements, les secrets de la communication et la musicalité qui font le tango argentin traditionnel. Un moment de communauté où les corps s’expriment et se relient au sol, à la musique, au corps de l’autre et à l’entourage des autres couples. Nous sommes des danseurs et des professeurs argentins. Vous n’avez pas besoin de venir en couple. Nous vous attendons.

Chaque cours coûte 15 euro/pers.

La carte de 10 cours coûte 120 euro/pers. Pour que ton tango coule.  

Vení a descubrir, explorar y profundizar el tango. Vas a aprender de forma progresiva los movimientos, los secretos de comunicación y la musicalidad que hacen el tango argentino tradicional. Un momento de comunidad donde los cuerpos se expresan y se relacionan con el piso, la música, el cuerpo del otro y el entorno de las otras parejas. Somos bailarines y profesores argentinos. No hace falta venir en pareja. Los esperamos.

Come to discover, explore and deepen the tango. You will progressively learn the movements, the secrets of communication and the musicality that make the traditional Argentine tango. A moment of community where the bodies express themselves and relate to the floor, the music, each other’s body and the other couples. We are Argentinean dancers and teachers. You don’t need to come as a couple. We will be waiting for you.

Programme summer 2024
There will be 5 workshops on Wednesdays to dive  deeper into different facets of tango itself, followed by 5 workshops of neotango, vals and milonga, to further develop other dance skills and musicalities as well. To boost your tango, we recommend taking the series, but each class can also be taken separately.

For advanced dancers who want an extra challenge, we offer a one-off intensive tango escenario workshop on Tuesday 27/8. Work will be done on lifts, poses, complex and flashy figures for performances. Advanced dancers from other disciplines (salsa, bachata, contemporary…) can also participate in this workshop.

Il y aura 5 ateliers le mercredi pour approfondir les différentes facettes du tango lui-même, suivis de 5 ateliers de neotango, vals et milonga, pour développer d’autres compétences de danse et de musicalité. Pour booster votre tango, nous vous recommandons de suivre la série, mais chaque cours peut également être pris séparément.
Pour les danseurs avancés qui souhaitent relever un défi supplémentaire, nous proposons un atelier intensif unique de tango escenario le mardi 27/8. Le travail se fera sur les portés, les poses, les figures complexes et flashy pour les démonstrations. Les danseurs avancés d’autres disciplines (salsa, bachata, contemporain…) peuvent également participer à cet atelier.

There will be 5 workshops on Wednesdays to dive  deeper into different facets of tango itself, followed by 5 workshops of neotango, vals and milonga, to further develop other dance skills and musicalities as well. To boost your tango, we recommend taking the series, but each class can also be taken separately.
For absolute beginners and those who want to review the basics, 3 discovery workshops are offered on Wednesdays, which can be taken separately or together.
For advanced dancers who want an extra challenge, we offer a one-off intensive tango escenario workshop on Tuesday 27/8. Work will be done on lifts, poses, complex and flashy figures for performances. Advanced dancers from other disciplines (salsa, bachata, contemporary…) can also participate in this workshop.

Stages Tango Nuevo pour danser en piste

On vous propose deux nouveaux ateliers pour explorer et apprivoiser ce que les gens appellent "Tango Nuevo".

Le "Tango Nuevo" soulève des passions, les gens débattent à cœur joie et parfois cela dérape. Mon berceau a été le Tango Traditionnel (Salón et Milonguero) de la main de mon grand ami Petaca, d'au moins 40 ans mon ainé, et de la main de tant d'autres grands maîtres. Je n'ai jamais payé pour leurs conseils, ils m'ont tous adoptée et quand je donnais cours avec mon ami, il me laissait garder tout l'argent. J'étais étudiante au Conservatoire et lui il avait un salaire convenable. Je n'oublierai jamais sa générosité et son énorme respect envers les femmes. Bien sûr, ils regardaient tous(1) d'un œil méfiant ces jeunes sans costume ni cravate et ce tango que l'on appelait "Nuevo". J'ai donc été une puriste moi-même pendant longtemps, dans une période où le Tango Nuevo semblait prendre un peu trop de place et la peur que le tango social disparaisse régnait chez mes ainé·es. Le tango traditionnel est toujours là (2) et en plus avec l'âge ou bien on s'endurcit ou bien on s'adoucit. Au risque de passer à côté des belles choses... On vit dans un monde qui devient de plus en plus polarisé, alors je cultive la curiosité et l'expérience lucide. Moi, j'aime le Tango tant qu'il est social. Certaines figures d'une extrême beauté s'y adaptent très facilement. Elles exigent un petit peu d'entrainement bien sûr, mais les sensations qu'elles procurent sont sublimes. Puis, c'est une opportunité pour danser sur d'autres musiques moins traditionnelles et trouver une certaine décontraction à transposer par la suite vers nos orchestres préférés. Andrés Surra est pour moi le danseur idéal pour ces ateliers, j'adore travailler ces mouvements avec lui. Venez profiter d'un moment rempli de belles sensations, fluidité et beauté. Vous n'allez pas le regretter 🙂

(1) je ne sais pas ce que les femmes pensaient, elles répétaient souvent les mots de leurs partenaires et le contexte était tout autre, j'aurais tant voulu oser leur poser la question en privé...
(2) Je reste une puriste au niveau des codes qui disparaissent petit à petit (cabecéo, circulation en piste, tandas, entre autres)

Come to discover, explore and deepen the tango. You will progressively learn the movements, the secrets of communication and the musicality that make the traditional Argentine tango. A moment of community where the bodies express themselves and relate to the floor, the music, each other’s body and the other couples. We are Argentinean dancers and teachers. You don’t need to come as a couple. We will be waiting for you.

The price per lesson is 15 euro/pers.

Like every summer since 2007, in 2024 La Tangueria Brussels will organise 2 weeks of its renown International Tango Holidays in one of the magnificent 4* Zacchera Hotels on the shores of the Lago Maggiore (Italy).

Venue
At the foot of the Italian Alps, the Lake Maggiore is a paradise for a dream vacation. Its surface of 212 km² offers enchanting and romantic landscapes to discover without delay.
Our groups of tango dancers will be hosted in one of the luxurious Zacchera hotels. All hotels are in privileged positions on the shores of Lake Maggiore and the magnificent Gulf of Borromeo. It is very likely that we will be staying again in the Grand Hotel Dino in Baveno.
Price per person in a standard double room: 1.185€ pp per week
Extra charges single, lake view, balcony, superior, 3rd adult, child, pet, parking, extra days... upon request.
