Nous aborderons une séquence qui évoluera et nous permettra de travailler l'expression de la musicalité de la valse, tant la partie rythmique que le côté léger et aérien de la valse. Il s'agira d'un enchaînement qui nécessite peu d'espace et qui peut être utilisé dans les milongas.

*Thème : Milonga lisa & traspié - changement de direction.
Nous aborderons un ou deux enchaînements qui permettent soit de rester en place, soit de changer de direction dans la milonga tout en exprimant deux types de musicalité différents. Ils vous permettront de développer votre gestion de l'abrazo, la qualité et le contrôle de vos pivots et l'énergie que le mouvement requiert.

Blue Bossa Liberté est un groupe basé sur Bruxelles avec l'objectif de jouer des compositions et des arrangements inspirés par la musique brésilienne, melangé avec la musique du monde, le jazz et la musique baroque.

Special Tango Coaching sessions by Marisa & Oliver
=> The Tango coaching session is an original La Tangueria concept half-way between a private class and a group workshop.
We work with a maximum of 6 couples to be able to give more personal feed-back and corrections to each of them. Although we can propose a movement for each level, the aim is more to "coach" the participants in their personal tango dance. Like in a private class, we will work on the posture, connection, leading, following, musicality, technique, refinement, etc. rather than teaching a new figure. Participants can of course also propose a theme or subject they would like to work.
Level: all levels interested in this coaching session, minimum 6 months tango required.

Séances spéciales de coaching de tango par Marisa et Oliver
=> Le Tango coaching est un concept original de La Tangueria, à mi-chemin entre un cours privé et un atelier de groupe.
Nous travaillons avec un maximum de 6 couples pour pouvoir donner plus de feedback personnel et corrections à chacun d'eux. Bien que nous proposons un mouvement comme point de départ pour tout le groupe, l'objectif est plus de "coacher" les participants dans leur danse de tango personnel. Comme dans un cours privé, nous travaillerons sur la posture, la connexion, le guidage, l'écoute, la musicalité, la technique, le raffinement, etc. plutôt que d'enseigner une nouvelle figure. Les participants peuvent bien sûr proposer un thème ou un sujet qu'ils aimeraient travailler.
Niveau: tous les niveaux intéressés par cette session de coaching, minimum 6 mois de tango requis.

Piazzolla X 3 celebrates the life and work of Argentinean composer Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992), the single most important figure in the history of tango, and features by the Belgian bandoneonist Daniel Gruselle, the Belgian pianist Philippe Preudhomme and the Argentinian vocalist Fabian Tibaldi.
Piazzolla’s music revolutionized the traditional tango into a new style called nuevo tango, incorporating elements from jazz and classical music and the surrealist poems from the Uruguayan poet Horacio Ferrer among other well-known writers.
The programme includes some of Piazzolla’s most well-known and best loved music, Chiquilín de Bachin, Balada para un Loco and Balada para mi Muerte, together with rarely-performed songs such as Aire de la Zamba Niña and La Misma Pena with lyrics from Homero Expósito.
Daniel, Philippe and Fabian will take the audience on a musical journey of emotional crescendos, ecstatic climaxes and melancholic descents, interspersed with narration telling the story of Astor Piazzolla life and songs.

"Neotango elements": we will teach a sequence to non traditional tango music with different neo tango elements, such as soltadas, out of axis turns, piernazo etc.
We work on connection, balance, axis, elasticity, musicality; all elements that are also fundamental in traditional tango!
Level: advanced, as of 3 years tango experience required.
Price workshop: 17€ pp, or 25€ pp with the milonga included.

João Gilberto, the great pioneer and father of Bossa Nova in Brazil in the late fifties, is the focus of this special concert performed on guitar and vocals by Mario Bakuna. Featuring reinterpretations and Mario’s own compositions, we will be treated to traditional elements of samba, syncopated rhythms of plucked chords, along more contemporary jazz. In Brazil, Mario Bakuna has played alongside the trombonist Itacir Bocato, guitarist Renato Consorte, and pianist Nelson Aires, just to name a few. He now resides in London.

Mario Bakuna is a Brazilian composer, arranger, singer and guitar player. A graduate of the Free University of Music in Sao Paulo, Brazil, he studied with musicians such as Olmir Stocker, Roberto Sion and Roberto Bomilcar (the pianist who played with Frank Sinatra during his visit to Brazil).
Mario focuses on the development of a music repertoire inspired by the greats of Afro-Brazilian Music, Samba, Jazz and Bossa Nova. In addition to developing new arrangements of music by enshrined Brazilian artists as Tom Jobim, Dorival Caymmi, Paulo Moura, and João Donato, in recent years he has been working on reinterpretations of Samba Jazz - a musical genre that emerged in Rio de Janeiro in the 1950s and was led by musicians like Luiz Eça, Tamba Trio, and Edson Machado. Their repertoire was based on Brazilian Standards with more sophisticated harmonies inspired by the post-Bossa Nova movement.
He travelled to Europe to expand his knowledge and skills and since settling in London has performed alongside musicians such as Jean Toussaint, Liam Noble, Ricardo dos Santos, Edmundo Carneiro, Cacau Queiroz, Alain Jean Marie, Dudu Penz, and Filó Machado.
Mario has recently been on tour promoting the album recorded alongside the percussionist Edmundo Carneiro - ‘Where Rio de Janeiro Meets Bahia’ - performing successful shows in London (Pizza Express, 606 Jazz Club, Ronnie Scott's, Ealing Jazz Festival, The Crypt Jazz Club, The Jazz Café), Brussels (Bouche à Oreille, Chapelle de Boondael), Paris (Sunset Sunside, 38Riv, Toulx Saint Croix Jazz Festival), Switzerland (La Spirale, Neuchatel Collegiale Church), Amsterdam (Teatro Munganga, Pllek, Jazz Café Alto), Portugal (Armazem 8, Palácio do Príncipe Real), Spain (Sala Clamores, Castillo de Santa Bárbara, El Mussol Jazz Club, Café Mercedes, Refugio Jazz Club) Italy (Garage Moulinski, Milestone Piacenza Jazz Club, Circolo Giovane Italia, Cascina Casottello Milano) Germany (Augsburg Jazz Club, Tucholsky Theatre Minden, Goldkante Jazz Club Bochum), Madagascar (Nosy-Be International Jazz Festival), and Brazil (Blue Note São Paulo, Jazz Nos Fundos).

The practica is the temple where we can analyze, try movements, change roles... without codes as we have in the milonga. The followers can also invite the leaders. A social and sharing place, always in a relaxed study atmosphere.

The first 15 minutes are free for free practice and warm up. This time will also allow us to welcome you and take care of the entries.

At this time the doors will be closed only to the participants of the practice.

Guided practice. This practice will be divided in two:  First 15 minutes of walking technique. We want to encourage you to dedicate yourself to walking the base of the tango. If you practice regularly and conscientiously, you will see a huge difference in the quality of your dance.

Second part: 20mn of creative development. A challenge will be proposed every Friday to stimulate creativity and get out of the box.
​
In the last 10 minutes we will be with you to answer questions, and help you in your exploration of movements.

Special Tango Coaching sessions by Marisa & Oliver
=> The Tango coaching session is an original La Tangueria concept half-way between a private class and a group workshop.
We work with a maximum of 6 couples to be able to give more personal feed-back and corrections to each of them. Although we can propose a movement for each level, the aim is more to "coach" the participants in their personal tango dance. Like in a private class, we will work on the posture, connection, leading, following, musicality, technique, refinement, etc. rather than teaching a new figure. Participants can of course also propose a theme or subject they would like to work.
Level: all levels interested in this coaching session, minimum 6 months tango required.

=> Le Tango coaching est un concept original de La Tangueria, à mi-chemin entre un cours privé et un atelier de groupe.

Wij werken met maximaal 6 paren om meer persoonlijke feedback en correcties te kunnen geven aan elk van hen. Hoewel we een beweging voorstellen als uitgangspunt voor de hele groep, is het doel meer om de deelnemers te coachen in hun persoonlijke tango dans. Net als in een privé-les werken we aan houding, connectie, leiden en volgen, muzikaliteit, techniek, afwerking, enz. in plaats van een nieuwe figuur aan te leren. De deelnemers kunnen zelf een thema of onderwerp voorstellen waaraan zij zouden willen werken.
Niveau: alle niveaus geïnteresseerd in deze coaching sessie, minimum 6 maanden tango vereist.

☼ GUIDED PRACTICA ☼

The practica is the temple where we can analyze, try movements, change roles... without codes as we have in the milonga. The followers can also invite the leaders. A social and sharing place, always in a relaxed study atmosphere.

The first 15 minutes are free for free practice and warm up. This time will also allow us to welcome you and take care of the entries.

At this time the doors will be closed only to the participants of the practice.

Guided practice. This practice will be divided in two:  First 15 minutes of walking technique. We want to encourage you to dedicate yourself to walking the base of the tango. If you practice regularly and conscientiously, you will see a huge difference in the quality of your dance.
​
Second part: 20mn of creative development. A challenge will be proposed every Friday to stimulate creativity and get out of the box.
​
In the last 10 minutes we will be with you to answer questions, and help you in your exploration of movements.

Paula Rubin and Mariano Galeano are a dynamic couple from Buenos Aires. Their way of dancing can be described as speedy, sensual, artistic, acrobatic but most of all Tanguera!! Both have a good reputation as dancers as well as teachers. On stage they are one body with four legs, very connected and respectful to each other, instead in the salon, they are quiet, elegant and very musical. When they teach, they approach every student individually, knowing all people are different. At the end of each lesson, Paula and Mariano want all students to know the essence of what they taught .They give away all their secrets.

Paula and Mariano performed all over Europe, they participated in several great festivals and shows. Both are co-organizers of the beneficial Tango-festival “Tango por los Chicos”. An event completely organized in benefit of the street's children of Buenos Aires.

Mariano has been living in Belgium for 4 years meanwhile Paula remained in Buenos Aires, but … THEY ARE BACK AGAIN this autumn in Brussels …
